Our staff, like our readers, loves to get out and about the county. So we decided, while we are traveling the highway and bushwhacking through the forest, to take pictures to see if our readers can guess WHERE ARE WE?

Our July 20 WHERE ARE WE? was tough. We only had five correct guesses and four wrong entries. The people drawn from the correct entries were Don and Susan Schliep, who knew that the photo was taken on Pike Lake Road, near Cascade River, looking at what they said “Grandma Schliep” called Moose Mountain. It is called Cascade Bluff by others.

Congratulations Don and Susan Schliep! They win a one-year subscription to the Cook County News-Herald (a $30 value).

Take a look at this month’s photo. If you think you know where we were when we took the picture, send us your answer. The location will be announced next month and a winner will be drawn from all the correct answers. Whoever is drawn will win a free one-year subscription to the Cook County News-Herald (a $30 value). Good luck!
